FOUNDATION RAISING

Geo-Polymer Method

Geo-Polymer Foundation Raising Method

  • Treats the Cause
  • Minimally invasive
  • No Excavation
  • Saves Thousands of Dollars

Geo polymer foam products have been used successfully for over twenty years to stabilize sinking foundations. However, there have been very limited use successfully raising foundations for a number of reasons—until now.

The Trout Group, Inc. has developed a highly innovative and patented soil extraction process to raise foundations using geo polymer products. In the past, contractors have struggled with site conditions and lacked experience to raise foundations in a controlled manner or with predictable results.

With the use of soil extraction in conjunction with geo polymers, it’s now possible to raise foundations routinely, successfully, and without excavation. The Geo-Polymer process is performed without excavation eliminating the necessity to remove portions of concrete driveways, sidewalks, porches, patios, foundation footings, trees, or landscaping saving homeowner’s tens of thousands of dollars in replacement and restoration costs.

The soil extraction process is easily performed through two inch diameter steel casings from within the homes basement or exterior. Soils are extracted from beneath the foundations footing with verifiable, defined measurements for the placement of a rapidly expanding geopolymer foam, typically used to raise concrete slabs around your home. The home is raised in a controlled manner, results are predictable, and casings are removed upon completion.

Advantages:

An important advantage of Poly Jack grouting over outdated conventional piering methods is the cost savings and the absence of obvious and long-term visual reminders of the existence of previous foundation problems.

  • Properties available for marketing hours after completion of grouting.
  • Minimal disruption and a typical project duration of one or two days is required.
  • Unnecessary to remove portions of sidewalks, driveways, footings, patios, porches, trees, garage slabs, or landscaping.
  • Unlike piering, voids are not created below footings that can compromise other portions of the foundation due to water accumulation.
  • Poly Jacking provides uniform load support for wall sections on both sides of cracked foundations.
  • Allows foundation to function as it was designed, in full contact with the ground providing uniform support.
  • Poly Jacking treats the causes for foundation settlement and repairs are undetectable upon completion.
  • Unlike Piering, should future warrantee work be necessary, there are no costs to the homeowner, or future homeowners associated with the work, such as hardscape removal or landscaping restorations.

When raising foundations, it is imperative that the home’s sewer lines are protected against damage.

Over time, pipelines can become brittle, partially separate, micro fractures form, become acclimated to the distress caused by foundation settlement, and are sensitive to movement. When foundations undergo lifting operation in a matter of hours or minutes, joint separation and cracking can occur and why this innovative technology was developed.

RFCR recognizes the importance of protecting client’s below-grade infrastructure, the costs associated with corrective repairs, and the disruptions to their home life. RFCR uses its highly innovative patented technology to simultaneously raise below-grade sewer lines to inhibit damage when raising foundations.

When raising foundations, it is imperative that no utility line damage occurs. Over time, the pipelines become brittle, can partially separate, form micro fractures, become acclimated to the distress caused by foundation settlement and are sensitive to movement. When foundations undergo lifting operations, joint separation and cracking can occur as the foundation is lifted in a manner of hours or minutes. This is why the innovative technology was developed.
